If you are attempting to purchase baby gifts for a friend or family member's child, then you may be a little stumped. People without kids often have a difficult time buying baby gifts, as they don't know what to get, and what not to get! There are several ideas that serve as great baby gifts, even if you know very little about the process!

Clothes are always the safest bet on baby gifts. The sizes can be confusing, so ask the parents what size clothes their child wears. As children grow at a rapid rate, try to purchase clothes one size bigger, so the child can wear them for longer.

Whenever you purchase clothes for baby gifts, make sure you keep the receipt. Sometimes the clothes may not fit properly, or cause a rash, or just be the wrong color. By keeping the receipt, you can allow the parents to return the clothes if they must and exchange them for clothes that will work better!

Toys are great baby gifts. The major concern here is purchasing age appropriate toys. Try to find something that is educational and will stimulate the learning processes of the child. You can ask a sales representative to suggest some common toys for children of a certain age if you are unsure what to buy.

If all else fails, use diapers as baby gifts. Make sure to find out what size the baby wears before you purchase anything though! Diapers are common baby gifts because they are practical, useful, and needed in abundance! These can be a great last resort gift if you can think of nothing else.

Choose your baby gifts wisely, and always keep a receipt, in case what you choose does not work out. Baby gifts can be simple and easy, especially if you take the time to ask the parents of the baby for suggestions before you do any shopping.
