Cookie gifts can be pleasing and useful, depending on which you choose. We are going to compare two different types of cookie gifts, actual cookies, and cookie cutters. You can purchase each of these at a store, or you can make these cookie gifts yourself.

Cookie cutters make great cookie gifts. You can use them for years to come to create your own cookies. They can be themed towards a certain holiday, such as a turkey for Thanksgiving, or a tree for Christmas. Cookie cutters can also be generic shapes that are not related to any specific holiday.

Cookie cutters as cookie gifts can be made from home or bought at a store. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. If you make your own cookie cutters, you can choose the patterns and designs that will be given out. Making cookie cutters yourself is easy as well. They can be made from metal wires, or any number of other materials.

You could also buy your cookie cutters at a store. This makes the process of acquiring the cookie gifts easier and faster, but you get less control of the shape of cookie cutters. On top of this, you will not get the satisfaction you would if you had made the cookie cutters yourself.

Giving actual cookies as cookie gifts is a much simpler debate. There is no substitute for homemade cookies. Store bought cookies are great, but if you want to give a gift that shows you truly care, you should bake the cookies yourself (or at least help someone with more skill do it).

Cookie gifts can come in many forms, and not just those listed here. You could give the supplies needed to make cookies, or cookie sheets. Ultimately, as with any gift, making the cookie gifts yourself will be a more valuable gift to whomever you decide to give your gift to.
